When asked, “Who is the most influential woman in the world?”, most young women answer with the same person: Angelina Jolie. She is easily one of the top ten most influential people in the world. She works with multiple philanthropies, has publicly spoken about her medical struggles, has adopted children in need, and not to mention she is one of the most famous actresses to date. She is every woman’s role model. Everyone wants Angelina to be their best friend. Why? Because she is what we all aspire to be. She seems to have it all. Amazing career, husband, and family.
According to Forbes.com, Angelina Jolie is the most powerful celebrity in the world. This probably does not come as a surprise to all
of us. She is constantly photographed in magazines, has articles written on her, and stars in movies. But what differentiates her from the rest of the celebrities that we all know? Her passion her help others. We, as women, want to be just like her. Through her efforts as an UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, she has consistently demonstrated how helping others can make such a huge difference in the world. She also started her own charity with her husband, Brad Pitt, called the Jolie-Pitt Foundation. This charity raises money to help children in third world countries. Women nowadays are taking after Angelina Jolie and her philanthropic endeavors. Many college woman are joining sororities to help get involved, while many older women are taking the time out of their busy lives to volunteer. Women today can thank Angelina for the huge push we have seen in women leading charities and philanthropies around the world.
